
Earth Heads
Mud from worm casts is the raw material used to create these small scale heads which portray the weathered faces of old Breton women wearing traditional headdresses.

Sea Space
Delicate tellin shells of subtle hues have been pushed into the dark folds of a sea rusted oil filter to create this 80cm high sculpture.

Suspended Animation
My love for the sea and wave washed objects is transmuted into hanging sculptures that capture my relationship with the endless motion of wind and tide.

Window Designs (commissions)
I worked with business partner Wendy Chandler to design and create a series of widow schemes for Mary Portas at Harvey Nichols department store in Knightsbridge, London.

Costume
Most of these costumes and masks were created for Island Records and helped to lead me away from working as an illustrator and into prop making and sculpture.

Sculpture
Large scale polystyrene carving led onto modelling in clay which is malleable, tactile and allows me to work spontaneously. The subtleties of the human face never cease to amaze me.

Watercolours
Watercolours, ink, soluble crayons and pencils are great for travel. I keep a visual diary and always work direct, never from photographs.

Publicity
Sketching outside is a wonderful way to meet people when you’re travelling. You can’t worry about the finished result...sometimes good, sometimes not. It’s just doing it that
